Raghav Chadha hits back at AAP over voter roll row

BJP MP Raghav Chadha refuted allegations from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) regarding his voter registration, dismissing them as baseless. Chadha stated that he had strictly adhered to all Election Commission of India (ECI) guidelines and procedures. He accused the AAP and its leaders of persistently targeting him since his departure from the party.

Chadha alleged that the AAP had confused electoral rolls with its party membership register and claimed they were attempting to remove individuals who left Kejriwal's leadership. The Office of Delhi's Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) clarified that names are added, deleted, or modified in the electoral roll based on Forms 6, 7, and 8, respectively, processed by Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) following the Representation of the People Act, 1950 and other rules.

AAP's National Media In-charge, Anurag Dhanda, accused the Election Commission of a backdoor entry of Chadha's name into the electoral rolls, emphasizing the lack of transparency in the SIR process.
