QC enhances trade relations with Malaysia’s Malacca state

The Qatar Chamber recently met with a Malaysian delegation, including Malacca State Governor Dr. Hajj Mohamed bin Ali Mohamed Rustam, to discuss enhancing trade and economic ties between the two nations. The gathering, attended by Qatar Chamber Board Members Dr. Mohamed bin Jawhar Al Mohamed and Abdulrahman bin Abduljaleel Al Abdulghani, as well as Malaysia's Ambassador to Qatar HE Mohamed Fazal Razali, centered on identifying opportunities for collaboration across various sectors.

Malacca State, as highlighted by Rustam, presents a wealth of investment prospects in sectors such as tourism, halal industries, and healthcare. He invited the Qatar Chamber and Qatari companies to participate in the upcoming MIHAS Halal Expo, which is set to take place from September 23 to 26 and will feature participation from numerous leading Malaysian and international firms.

Dr. Mohamed bin Jawhar Al Mohamed underscored the Qatar Chamber's commitment to bolstering cooperation between Qatari and Malaysian investors, emphasizing the Joint Business Council's pivotal role in deepening ties between the business communities of both countries. Abdulrahman Al Abdulghani echoed this sentiment, noting the close relationship between Qatar and Malaysia and the significant potential for private sector collaboration, particularly in the burgeoning halal industry.
