Qatar Press Centre, Gulf and Arabian Peninsula Studies Unit sign MoU

The Qatar Press Centre and the Gulf and Arabian Peninsula Studies Unit at the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to bolster cooperation in journalism, media, and research. The agreement, signed by Qatar Press Centre Director-General Sadiq Mohammed Al Amari and Gulf and Arabian Peninsula Studies Unit Head Dr. Haider Saeed, aims to foster joint training programs, events, studies, and publications.

The MoU seeks to merge journalistic expertise with academic and research capabilities, highlighting the need to capitalize on the resources and knowledge of both parties. It is expected to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience, support specialized studies on Gulf affairs, and create new opportunities for collaborative initiatives.

Al Amari emphasized that the MoU marks a significant step in strengthening institutional cooperation in media, journalism, and research fields. He stressed the importance of building effective partnerships with research and academic institutions, given the rapid developments in the media sector and the growing need for professional knowledge and skills development.

Dr. Saeed underscored the Gulf and Arabian Peninsula Studies Unit's commitment to expanding cooperation with Gulf institutions and organizations focused on Gulf studies. He noted that the MoU with the Qatar Press Centre aligns with the center's broader strategy and highlighted the numerous opportunities for collaboration identified during discussions, including joint seminars, training programs, publications, and joint projects.
