PSG begin defence of Champions League title with 6-1 win over Slovan

Paris Saint-Germain kicked off their bid to win a third consecutive Champions League title with a resounding 6-1 victory over Slovan Bratislava at the Parc des Princes. Ferran Torres topped the scoring charts, netting a hat-trick in the match. Ousmane Dembele, a Ballon d'Or winner last year, also shone on the night, contributing a brace and providing a crucial assist for Torres.

Slovan's Yaya Toure, making his first appearance as the team's coach, couldn't prevent the French giants from securing a dominant win. The Slovak side's resistance lasted just 17 minutes when Nuno Mendes put them ahead with a powerful shot that struck the post. Dembele then doubled PSG's lead before Torres converted a made-by-Dembele corner for the third goal, firmly putting the match in the bag.

Despite Dembele's effort being thwarted by the post, Torres sealed the win with his second goal of the night, followed by a late goal from Fabian Ruiz to complete the 6-1 scoreline.
