Police hunt man over molestation of teenage boy in Ogun

The Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, Bode Ojajuni, has issued an urgent directive for a manhunt following allegations of sexual molestation against a 17-year-old boy. According to reports, the victim's parents formally reported the incident to the Adigbe Police Division on Tuesday. The teenager stated that Mr Kola had sexually assaulted him on three separate occasions in January 2026 and threatened him into remaining silent about the abuse.

Upon receiving the report, police officers took the victim to a hospital in the Adigbe area for a medical examination, while detectives began their investigation. The police spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, confirmed that the matter was only brought to the police's attention after the parent's report on Tuesday. He emphasized that Kola is currently at large and that the command has ordered detectives to prioritize locating and apprehending him.

Babaseyi assured the public that the allegation is being handled with urgency, professionalism, and sensitivity, and affirmed the police's commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable individuals.
