Pakistan collapse to 133 all out against England in third Test

Pakistan suffered a heavy defeat, collapsing to 133 all out on the opening day of the third Test against England at Edgbaston. The team, already trailing 2-0 in the three-match series, lost seven players and dismissed head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and assistant Umar Gul after a 194-run defeat in the second Test at Lord’s. England's new-ball pair, Ollie Robinson (3-15) and Jofra Archer (3-25), took advantage of helpful, overcast conditions to restrict Pakistan's batting.

Despite Saud Shakeel's 43-run performance, no other Pakistani batsman could offer significant resistance. Mohammad Abbas, the team's tailender, managed only 21 runs before being dismissed, bringing the total to 133. Pakistan captain Babar Azam, who has not scored a Test century in nearly four years, was dismissed for just seven runs.

The loss saw Pakistan drop to seven runs down before lunch when Josh Tongue dismissed Mohammad Imran for five with a brilliant yorker. Razaullah managed to score 100 runs, but was out for a duck off his first ball after lunch. Pakistan's recent struggles continued as they were dismissed for 107-9, with no significant resistance from any of their batsmen.
