Ollie Millroy hails Loek Hartog after rival saves him from burning car in China GT crash

British driver Ollie Millroy expressed his gratitude to fellow driver Loek Hartog after the Dutchman saved his life by pulling him from a burning car during the opening race of the China GT Championship in Shanghai. Millroy, 36, said he owes his life to Hartog, who stopped his car instantly and risked his own life to get him out of the wreckage.

The incident occurred around 20 minutes into the race when Millroy's Ferrari was hit from the side following a collision involving two other cars, sending it into flames. With safety marshals and fire crews unable to reach the scene immediately, Hartog stopped his own car and reached Millroy's from the opposite side of the wreck, dragging him to safety.

Millroy suffered multiple fractures and a bruised lung, but he is grateful for Hartog's quick action. FC1 star Max Verstappen praised Hartog's bravery, stating that without his intervention, Millroy would not have survived.
