Nashik: MPSC Aspirants Seek Overhaul Of Exam System, Submit 18-Point Reform Memorandum

Nashik: A memorandum from MPSC aspirants and stakeholders has been presented to the Nashik District Collector, demanding substantial reforms to the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) examination system. The students and teachers implored for transparency, impartiality, security, accountability, and trust in the examination process.

The reform memorandum highlighted that lakhs of students across Maharashtra prepare for MPSC competitive examinations, investing considerable time, financial resources, and emotional commitment. Recent question paper leaks have created confusion and eroded students' trust in the examination system. Instead of addressing individual incidents, the memorandum called for a thorough institutional review of the entire examination process and the implementation of permanent reforms.

The memorandum emphasized that these demands were not borne out of personal bias, but to strengthen student trust and ensure justice for their hard work. The stakeholders demanded the formation of an independent Examination Reform Committee, comprising representatives from MPSC, government departments, independent experts, and students to formulate a comprehensive, time-bound, and permanent roadmap for examination reforms.

The memorandum further demanded clarity on the moderation and standardization process, opportunities for verification and rechecking in cases of exceptional scores or failures, and making evaluation details available.
