Malaysian and Hong Kong Stars unite for new Chinese New Year film ‘Golden Blessings’ scheduled for February 2027 release

Port Dickson, Malaysia has become the filming location for the Chinese New Year film "Golden Blessings," which will be released in February 2027. The movie, directed by Mak Ho Pong and produced by Edmond Wong, sees a collaboration between Malaysian and Hong Kong stars. The film, written by Wong, tells the story of a group of individuals from different backgrounds who find themselves together at the hotel in Port Dickson.

The production, currently in its third week, takes place at the Grand Lexis and Lexis Hibiscus hotels. Among the Malaysian stars participating in the film are Andy Teh and Miko Wong. The film has been selected as one of the key filming locations due to Malaysia's rich multicultural identity and efforts to promote tourism. Director Mak hopes the film will showcase Malaysia's diverse culture and destinations to international audiences while contributing to the promotion of Visit Negeri Sembilan 2026 and 2027.
