Ketua Pemuda Bersatu bebas tuduhan berkait kenyataan di TikTok

Kuala Lumpur: The Chief of Bersatu Youth, Hilman Idham, has been acquitted of charges of causing public alarm by making a statement on TikTok. At a Magistrate's Court hearing, Judge Nurul Izzah Hasan Basri ruled that after reviewing witness testimony and arguments from both the prosecution and defense, the prosecution failed to prove elements of the charge under Section 505(b) of the Penal Code.

"Consequently, the accused is acquitted and released without being required to defend himself against the charge under Section 505(b) of the Penal Code," she stated. The court also ordered the refund of RM4,000 bail money to Hilman. On August 20, Hilman, 37, was charged with making a statement via his TikTok account, alfah.channel.tv, which allegedly caused public alarm and could incite individuals to commit offenses against public safety.

The incident is said to have occurred at 2:09 pm on July 30. Hilman was represented by lawyers Rafique Rashid Ali and Nur Mustanir Abd Nor, while the prosecution was handled by Deputy Public Prosecutor Nurul Farhanah Arul Hisham.
