Jordan Armed Forces intercept 18 Iranian ballistic missiles targeting kingdom

Jordan's Armed Forces reported that the kingdom was targeted by an Iranian missile attack from Iranian territory in recent hours. According to the spokesperson of the Jordan Armed Forces, Jordanian air defence systems successfully intercepted and destroyed 18 out of the 20 ballistic missiles launched towards Jordanian territory.

The spokesperson confirmed that no casualties were reported as a result of the attack. The armed forces' response was carried out according to established operational procedures to safeguard the kingdom's airspace and ensure the safety of the public. Continuous monitoring, tracking, and evaluation of the situation are ongoing. Specialized teams have commenced the secure and clean-up of the areas where debris and shrapnel landed, taking all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of the surrounding regions.

Iran has been accused of firing missiles at Jordan, with reports suggesting that the attacks followed an incident involving Iran's involvement in strikes on Larak Island. Meanwhile, Iran's supreme leader has called for unity among Muslim countries, while the UAE has strongly condemned the missile attacks targeting Jordan.
