Iran says IAEA resolution 'will not bring any results'

Iran strongly opposes a recent UN atomic watchdog resolution that refers the Islamic Republic to the UN Security Council due to its nuclear non-compliance. Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi criticized the resolution adopted by the IAEA's Board of Governors, stating that disruptions from attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities were used as a pretext to refer Iran to the Security Council.

He emphasized that this move has no basis and will not yield any results, alleging that it was driven by political pressure from the US and its allies. Reza Najafi, Iran's representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), echoed these sentiments to Iranian media, asserting that the resolution attempts to disrupt the normal inspection process and prevent Iran from advancing its efforts.
