Apple unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, the latest additions to the Pro lineup. These new models boast an advanced camera system, impressive battery life, superior performance, and Siri AI powered by A20 Pro.

The 48MP Fusion Main camera introduces variable aperture, granting users more creative control. Featuring six laser-cut blades, the aperture smoothly transitions through different settings, ensuring optimal depth of field and lighting for capturing stunning photos and videos. The new sensor significantly boosts image quality, resulting in improved low-light photography, sharper detail, and more unique shots.

Variable aperture brings creative control to iPhone users for the first time in history, with the ability to manually adjust any of the four aperture settings in the Camera app. For developers, an API is available for even more control over the aperture range in their apps. The Main camera also produces sharper, more detailed shots through a new computational imaging pipeline and upgraded Photographic Styles, which offer new texture and grain controls to further customize photo appearance.

The iPhone 18 Pro Max takes battery life to new heights, with advancements in Apple silicon and a larger battery. This results in the largest increase in battery life ever on an iPhone. The device also features a smaller and more useful Dynamic Island and A20 Pro, which, along with a next-generation vapor chamber, delivers the highest sustained performance in iPhone history.
