The Vikings also have young talents like rookies Jakobe Thomas and Jacob Thomas, along with experienced backups Theo Jackson and Jay Ward, ready to step up in case Smith departs. O’Connell assured that there will be ample opportunities for these players, as the team doesn't consider Smith's departure a necessity for success.
