Groups Threaten To Expose Anty – Party Activities Of Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff

The Grassroots Movement for Tinubu Continuity Come 2027, a support organization backing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election, has expressed worry over potential misconduct by former Borno State Governor, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, leading up to the 2027 general elections. Comrade Sani Ahmad Zangina, the group's National Coordinator, revealed these concerns during a recent interview with Arise TV, discussing political situations on the horizon of the 2027 elections and the internal affairs of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Zangina alleged his apprehensions were rooted in Senator Ali Modu Sheriff’s past political behavior, particularly during the 2023 general elections. He claimed similar apprehensions were voiced in 2023 regarding Sheriff and the then APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu. He urged the APC leadership to closely monitor prominent members' activities ahead of the 2027 elections, ensuring strict adherence to the party's constitution, directives, and relevant electoral laws.

Zangina also called for effective mechanisms to handle any credible allegations of anti-party activity, stating no individual should be permitted to jeopardize the party's collective interests. He emphasized their stance was to safeguard the unity and electoral prospects of the APC and President Tinubu, not to single out any individual.

However, this assertion is merely a claim by the support group and does not inherently confirm Senator Ali Modu Sheriff's intention to engage in anti-party activities in 2027. Any such claim would necessitate reliable evidence or confirmation by the relevant party or legal authorities.
