ESL Shipping completes Green Coaster investment with delivery of Luxomar

ESL Shipping has successfully completed the delivery of its twelfth and final vessel in the Green Coaster series, Luxomar. The vessel was handed over on September 8 and is set to embark on its maiden voyage from India to Europe. This marks a significant milestone for ESL Shipping, as the completion of the Green Coaster series represents one of the company's most substantial fleet renewal and growth investments to date.

The Green Coasters are equipped with battery hybrid technology, shore power connectivity, and optimized vessel design, all aimed at improving energy efficiency, reducing emissions, and enabling silent and emission-free port calls. Built at Chowgule and Company, these vessels feature ice class 1A, allowing for year-round operations in the Northern Baltic Sea.

Mikki Koskinen, Managing Director of ESL Shipping, expressed his satisfaction with the delivery of Luxomar, stating that it marks the successful completion of a strategic investment programme that strengthens the company's competitiveness and supports future growth.
