ERNEST Gets Candid About His Mental Health After Leaving Ella Langley’s Tour: ‘I Was Lost’

Ernest has been candid about his struggles with mental health following his departure from Ella Langley's The Dandelion Tour in August. In an Instagram post on September 7, the 34-year-old musician expressed gratitude for the unwavering support of his fans, while admitting that he was still lost in his search for personal growth.

He mentioned that this journey of self-discovery was a new experience for him, and that he was beginning to reconnect with his relationship with God, after previously feeling burned out from his upbringing in the church and Christian school. The post featured images of a rainbow, wildflowers, deer and turkeys, accompanied by a picture of Ernest sitting on a deck and smoking a cigarette.

He admitted that he had been relying on his own ways and thought he could outsmart his better judgment. Ernest revealed that he was spending too much time focusing on his own well-being, and had no clear answers. However, he emphasized that he knew he was starting a dialogue with something greater than himself and that he had a beautiful life with family and friends who deserved his best.

Ernest reassured his fans that he loved them and country music, promising to be back soon. On August 28, Ernest had announced on his Instagram Stories that he would no longer be participating in Langley's tour, citing the negative impact on his mental and physical health. He had planned to be away from the road for a few weeks to focus on himself and his priorities.

Ernest thanked Ella for the opportunity to be on tour and wished her the best in Auburn and for the rest of the tour. Ernest is also a cowriter on Langley's song "Loving Life Again" from her album Dandelion and a cowriter on Langley's recently released collab with Koe Wetzel, "Jaded."
