Education Ministry warns against fake CSSPS placement slips

The Ministry of Education has cautioned against the circulation of counterfeit and manipulated Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) placement slips on social media. In a statement made on September 9, 2026, the Ministry firmly stated that claims of altered students’ original school placements are false and misleading.

Preliminary investigations revealed that certain circulated placement slips did not align with data from the official CSSPS platform. The barcodes and QR codes on these purported documents did not correspond with the displayed placement information. The Ministry confirmed that its system records and audit logs did not support allegations of placement changes.

Thus, it concluded that these documents had been tampered with to deceive the public. This deceptive act could erode trust in the CSSPS placement process, leading to confusion and anxiety among students, parents, and guardians. Consequently, the Ministry has handed the matter over to the Cyber Security Authority and other security agencies for investigation and necessary actions.

The Ministry strongly urged the public not to distribute unverified placement slips or claims on social media. It advised students, parents, and guardians to depend solely on placement details obtained through official CSSPS channels. The Ministry reaffirmed its dedication to transparency, fairness, integrity, and accountability in the 2026 CSSPS placement procedure.

It encouraged anyone with genuine placement concerns to approach the proper channels for investigation.
