Dubai Holding awards Dh5 billion construction contracts for new HQ, Jumeirah Residences Emirates Towers

Dubai Holding has awarded a Dh5 billion contract to China State Construction Engineering Corporation Middle East (CSCEC ME) to construct its new headquarters and Jumeirah Residences Emirates Towers. The largest building contract awarded by Dubai Holding to date, the deal underscores the scale of investment directed towards projects supporting Dubai’s long-term economic and urban growth.

The new headquarters, set to open in 2029, will be designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) and feature a distinctive circular form centered around an open-air atrium and landscaped courtyard. The building will incorporate expansive terraces, prioritize employee wellbeing, sustainability, and technology, aiming to meet international standards for sustainability and wellbeing while promoting a lower-carbon future.

The chairman of Dubai Holding, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, witnessed the signing of the contract, emphasizing Dubai Holding’s commitment to investing in assets that support the emirate’s growth. The project will also include the 754 residential units of Jumeirah Residences Emirates Towers, designed by SCDA Architects and scheduled for completion in 2030.

The residences will offer contemporary architecture, Arabian hospitality, and access to lifestyle, wellness, and leisure experiences, with direct connectivity to key business, cultural, and lifestyle destinations across Dubai.
