Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: College Girl Raped At Lodges, Threatened With Photo Leak

In the Waluj area of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, a young college student was allegedly sexually assaulted on three separate occasions by a man named Prasad Gulabrao Mhaske. The victim, who studies at a college in the Waluj area, met Prasad in September 2025 and the two quickly formed a close friendship. Prasad allegedly gained her trust over a two-month period, convincing her to visit various places with him and even obtaining her Aadhaar card in November, claiming it was necessary to book movie tickets.

On multiple occasions, Prasad took the victim to lodges in the Bajajnagar area, where he sexually assaulted her, threatening to leak her photographs if she disclosed the incidents to anyone. Distraught by the repeated assaults, the victim eventually stopped attending college for a few days and switched off her mobile phone.

On September 4, Prasad allegedly called the victim's aunt, claiming to be in a romantic relationship with her and threatening to leak her photographs if she did not answer his calls. Later that night, Prasad threatened her father and another friend, Rishikesh Shelar, claiming he would kill the young woman if she continued to socialize with other boys and attend college. Upon learning about the situation from the victim's parents, she finally reported the incidents to the police.

Prasad has been registered as a suspect and the police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
