BREAKING: Hearts of Oak reportedly sack Julius Emunah as Managing Director

Accra Hearts of Oak's Managing Director, Julius Ben Emunah, has resigned from his role after seven months on the job. Emunah, who replaced Dr Delali Anku-Adiamah in February 2026, had previously worked as Head of Competitions at the Ghana Football Association. In a farewell post on Facebook, Emunah expressed his difficulty in leaving the position, stating it was a decision made with a "heavy heart."

He expressed deep gratitude to the club's Board, headed by HRH Togbe Afede XIV, and the National Chapter Committee (NCC) for their confidence and support during his tenure. Despite stepping down, Emunah emphasized that his connection to the club remains strong. "Although I am stepping down from my role, I am not stepping away from the club.

I remain a proud and committed supporter and will always be available to serve, assist, or support the club in whatever capacity I can," he wrote. Emunah highlighted his extensive experience in football administration and governance, which led to his appointment as the club's Managing Director.
