Live Nation, the event organizer, made the decision after conducting a thorough assessment of the venue's condition following last week's severe storm. Wayne Zronik, Live Nation's president for Canada, expressed disappointment at the cancellation, emphasizing that safety is the top priority.

The city of Toronto received an engineering report detailing the storm-induced damage, which included broken bleachers and a partially collapsed grandstand. Live Nation was informed by the city to close the venue, hire an engineer for a detailed inspection, and initiate repairs. Despite meeting a Sept. 8 deadline to present their findings, Live Nation has assured fans that reconstruction work will involve removing and rebuilding damaged sections.

Original ticket holders will receive automatic refunds, while resale ticket purchasers must contact their point of sale for refund details.
