Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 launch in UAE with major health upgrades

Apple has launched two new smartwatches, the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4, in the UAE, with prices starting at Dh1,599 and Dh3,199 respectively. The Series 12 comes in 42mm and 46mm sizes, while the Ultra 4 is available in natural and black titanium. Both models use the company's new S11 chip and Health Sensing System for improved heart-rate sensing, with heart rate checked every five seconds throughout the day.

They also introduce a daily readiness score, ranging from zero to ten, based on recent activity, training load, vitals, and sleep scores. Users receive personalized recommendations, such as "Recover and Pace Yourself" or "Ready and Go For It." The Apple Watch Ultra 4 extends battery life to 50 hours, while the Series 12 retains up to 24 hours of everyday battery life and offers up to 10 hours during outdoor workouts.

Both models feature redesigned pedometer algorithms for more accurate step tracking. The S11 chip also enables Sound Recognition to alert deaf or hard of hearing users when the watch detects sounds like sirens or alarms. The watches support watchOS 27, which includes a dynamic app grid, single-handed tap gesture, and support for perimenopause and menopause tracking.
