Abhishek Bachchan Siblings: Meet Shweta Bachchan Nanda

Abhishek Bachchan, born on 5 February 1976 in Mumbai, India, is a renowned Indian actor, film producer, and voice artist who is part of the illustrious Bachchan family. He is the son of legendary actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. After growing up in a family deeply entrenched in the Bollywood industry, Abhishek began his own journey in acting after leaving formal education to pursue his passion in Mumbai.

His elder sister, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, was born in 1974 and has become an accomplished author and columnist. Shweta has largely avoided acting, maintaining a low profile away from the limelight. She is married to industrialist Nikhil Nanda, a member of the Kapoor family through her mother's side, and they have two children together.

Abhishek made his acting debut in 2000 with the film Refugee, directed by J.P. Dutta, opposite Kareena Kapoor. He struggled initially with several commercially unsuccessful films, facing intense scrutiny and comparison to his father's legacy.
