2027: Katsina Assembly Endorses Radda’s Re-election

The Katsina State House of Assembly has voted in favor of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda's re-election for a second term in the 2027 gubernatorial election. This endorsement was delivered by the House's Speaker, Hon. Nasir Yahaya Daura, during the presentation of the N828.64 billion 2027 Appropriation Bill at the Assembly Chamber in Katsina.

Daura emphasized the Assembly's commitment to swiftly considering and passing the proposed budget, ensuring the government's ability to continue implementing its programs and projects statewide. He highlighted the past four years of cooperation between the executive and legislature, which have led to advancements in various sectors such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, security, and human capital development.

Daura expressed his gratitude to Governor Radda for his support and commended him for the various developmental projects and initiatives across the state. The Speaker also pledged the House's support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other candidates from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming 2027 general election.

This marked Daura's final endorsement of Governor Radda as Speaker of the 8th Assembly, as he expressed his gratitude to God for the opportunity to serve the state and urged lawmakers to maintain unity and commitment to the state's development, while fostering cooperation between the legislature and executive.
