125th show of Akshatha Pandavapura’s play in Mysuru

Kannada theatre artist and film actress Akshatha Pandavapura, a graduate of the National School of Drama, is set to present her 90-minute solo play Leak Out for its 125th performance. The play will be staged at the Indian Institute of Educational Theatre in Mysuru on Friday as part of the Navyasi Ranga initiative. The show marks a significant milestone in the play's journey throughout Karnataka and its role in the experimental theatre scene.

Leak Out delves into societal dynamics, marginalized voices, and the lived experiences of women through a mix of storytelling, humor, and interactive elements. The production's dynamic nature allows it to evolve with each performance, as Pandavapura actively engages with the audience while exploring themes of social norms, silence, and systemic issues.

In a press release, Pandavapura expressed her commitment to bringing theatre closer to the people and centering her characters within the audience. The 125th show is scheduled to commence at 6 p.m. on Friday, and entry is open to all. The performance duration remains at 90 minutes as previously announced.
