'Whole focus' of Eastern Michigan QB Noah Kim is winning in MSU return

Noah Kim, Eastern Michigan's starting quarterback, is not treating his upcoming matchup against Michigan State lightly. Despite the emotional weight often associated with return games, Kim remains focused on winning. It has been three seasons since Kim played for Michigan State, but he will make his return to Spartan Stadium this Saturday, Sept. 12.

The emotional aspect of rivalries is less pronounced in today's transfer portal era, as most of Kim's former teammates from Michigan State are no longer with the team. However, Kim still has strong connections with a few former Spartans, including linebacker Jordan Hall and another linebacker, Caleb Wheatland.

Coach Chris Creighton of Eastern Michigan believes Kim's return is significant and that the quarterback's experience and composure will benefit the team. Kim, who threw for 2,817 yards and 18 touchdowns last year, is now seen as a leader on the Michigan State roster. He is the first of three former Michigan State quarterbacks who will return to Spartan Stadium this season.
