Lucknow, September 8: Uttar Pradesh's industrial development has undergone significant transformation in recent times. Enhanced law and order, robust infrastructure, continuous power supply, improved roads and connectivity, and government support for industries have bolstered investors' confidence. During the two-day UP Textile Conclave-2026, which commenced on Tuesday under the supervision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow, industrialists expressed their appreciation for the state's improved business environment.
Rahul Agrawal, a representative from Bareilly's Ram Kumar Agro, remarked, "Along with providing information about government schemes to industrialists, officials are continuously providing guidance and support. New industries are being established in the state, and now entrepreneurs are feeling an environment where they can invest without fear." He added that his factory, which employs around 500 people, has benefited from improvements in power supply, roads, and infrastructure.
Aarushi Singhal of Ghaziabad's Efco Exports echoed similar sentiments, stating, "After 2017, positive changes have been witnessed in every sector in the state. Government support is encouraging industries to expand." She elaborated on how her industry, which employs approximately 800 individuals, has plans to further increase employment in the near future. She also highlighted the allocation of around 25% government assistance under the TUF scheme, alongside export licenses and other subsidies.
Ambika Prasad Pandey, from Tanda-based Parth Thread Private Limited, praised the policies implemented for the textile sector. He disclosed that his company has received up to a 35 percent capital subsidy and up to a 60 percent interest subsidy. Additionally, he mentioned an investment of approximately Rs 150 crore and the employment of several thousand people, attributing this growth to supportive training schemes that bring skilled artisans into the workforce.
K.K. Jain of Rampur's GSL Spinners agreed, noting that under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi, the transformation in UP is palpable. Better law and order, consistent power supply, streamlined approvals through a single portal, and a strong transport system have simplified the process of establishing industries. The company, which has invested around Rs 250 crore, has directly employed around 700 people.
For any investor, law and order is of paramount importance, and significant improvements have been observed in this aspect within the state.
