#SHOWBIZ: 'A tearful tribute': Aaron Aziz supports buddy Sheikh Haikel amid stage 4 cancer

Singaporean actor Datuk Aaron Aziz has shared a heartfelt video message in support of his dear friend and fellow entertainer Sheikh Haikel, who is fighting Stage 4 colon cancer. The video, posted on September 6 to Haikel's, his wife Anna Belle Francis', and Aaron's wife Diyana Halik's Instagram accounts, showcases a visibly distressed Aaron in a car. Haikel is heard comforting Aaron, saying, "I'm not going to leave you, B," to which Aaron responds, "You are not going to."

The video features photos and videos from their umrah trip to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, in September of the previous year. Notable moments include the two 50-year-olds embracing in front of the Ka'bah, Aaron shaving Haikel's hair, and Aaron helping his friend up a flight of stairs. Reflecting on the trip, Aaron shared, "When you told me you had cancer, you said you had one wish, and your wish was to go to umrah.

All you wanted was to pray in front of the Ka'bah. Thank God we managed to do so. It was my most unforgettable trip with you, and something I will always treasure."

Aaron expressed his intent to accompany Haikel on his future Haj pilgrimage to Mecca, stating, "I've got your back, and may God keep you positive. Stay strong, and know that we love you." In the post's caption, Diyana revealed that Haikel had confided in Aaron about his diagnosis in July 2025—over a year before publicly disclosing the news.

Diyana wrote, "When Haikel called Aaron with the news, I saw a side of brotherhood I had never truly understood." She expressed her support for Haikel, Francis, and their three children, promising to remain a steadfast pillar of strength for the family.
