Revenue Inspector killed as lorry rams bike

A 29-year-old Revenue Inspector, S. Kannan, was killed on Tuesday when the bike he was riding collided with a lorry near Gudiyatham in Vellore, according to initial reports. Kannan, who was returning home from his office in K.V. Kuppam taluk, was reportedly riding on his two-wheeler when the incident occurred. The lorry driver is believed to have lost control of his vehicle, which struck Kannan's bike.

The injured inspector was quickly rescued by other motorists and passersby, who immediately took him to the Government Taluk Hospital in Gudiyatham. However, medical professionals stated that Kannan had already succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital. A case has been registered by the Gudiyatham town police to investigate the tragic incident.
