‘Retract and Apologise’ — NPP NASARA Tells Owusu Bempah

The Ashanti Regional Women’s Wing and the NASARA Wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have strongly condemned the inflammatory comments made by Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah against leading members of the NPP. The two regional structures firmly rejected his assertions that certain senior NPP figures were plotting to target the Prophet's church.

The Ashanti Regional NASARA Wing in particular vehemently denied that NASARA could be mobilized to attack a religious institution, insisting that its purpose was to unite diverse communities, not create divisions. The Regional NASARA Coordinator, Razak Abubakar, accused the Prophet of spreading divisive messages and urged religious leaders to promote unity instead.

The NASARA Wing also clarified that it was not a Muslim organization, but represented various religious backgrounds, including Christianity. They demanded that the Prophet retract his statements and issue a full apology, threatening legal action if he fails to do so. Meanwhile, the Ashanti Regional Women’s Wing defended the NPP's presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and MP Dr. Nana Ayew Afriye, cautioning the Prophet against attacks on their character.

The Women’s Wing expressed confidence in both politicians, praising their integrity and commitment to public service. These statements highlight the escalating conflict between the NPP's Ashanti Regional structures and Prophet Owusu Bempah over his controversial remarks.
