Redmi Note 17 Pro Series To Launch In India On September 15: What To Expect

Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi has announced that the Redmi Note 17 Pro series will be released in India on September 15. The company has shared details about the design, colors, key specifications, and features of the upcoming devices. According to a dedicated microsite for the series, two models are expected to be launched: the Redmi Note 17 Pro and the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, following the brand's global pattern.

Earlier, Redmi had hinted at the debut of a new Note 17 series with the Max branding, similar to how the lineup has been introduced internationally.

One of the standout features of the series is a massive battery up to 10,000mAh, advertised as the "mAhster of strength." Internal lab test results indicate that both phones will provide more than four days of usage on a single charge under light usage. Both devices will be available for purchase in India through Amazon.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro is presented in a blue colorway, displaying a flat rear panel with a square-shaped camera module located in the top-right corner. The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max shares a similar camera island design and also features a dual rear camera setup, which includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization. Both handsets have power and volume controls positioned on the right edge.

In terms of pricing and specifications, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max was introduced in select global markets last month, starting at JPY 79,980 (approximately ₹47,900) for the base 8GB+256GB configuration. This version is equipped with an octa-core Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, 8GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. It also houses a 50-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera on the rear.

Indian pricing and complete specifications for the series are expected to be finalized closer to the September 15 launch date.
