QC highlights growing pressure on supply chains, transport and insurance costs

Qatar Chamber showcased the escalating challenges faced by supply chains, transport, and insurance industries at the AIM Congress 2026, held in Dubai from September 7-9, 2026. The event, themed "Reshaping Global Prosperity: Unlocking New Investment Pathways Towards a Sustainable and Inclusive Future," brought together over 180 countries' prominent leaders, decision-makers, investors, and innovators.

Qatar Chamber's representatives, Eng. Ali bin Abdul Latif Al-Misnad and Ali Bu Sherbak Al-Mansori, focused on supply chain resilience during the Roundtable of Presidents of Chambers of Commerce. They discussed the pressures on supply chains, including shifting shipping routes, rising freight and insurance costs, delivery delays, and supply uncertainties.

Al-Misnad highlighted Qatar Chamber's efforts to maintain close communication with the private sector and coordinate with government entities and Gulf and Arab chambers to identify challenges and develop solutions. He stressed the importance of resilience through diversified supply sources, transport routes, the TIR System, and data and artificial intelligence to proactively monitor and address supply chain risks.

Qatar Chamber also invited Arab chambers to the FIATA-RAME 2026 Conference in Doha on November 9-10, 2026, organized by Qatar Chamber in cooperation with the Federation of GCC Chambers.
