Pune Police Targets 72 Juveniles Under 'Samvad Parivartan Yatra' for Rehabilitation

Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar has announced that 72 juveniles under the age of 18 have been targeted for rehabilitation as part of the 'Samvad Parivartan Yatra' initiative in Zone 3. This outreach program aims to provide scientific counselling and vocational training to children in conflict with the law, with the goal of motivating them to integrate into mainstream society.

Kumar stated, "The Samvad Parivartan Yatra (Dialogue for Change Journey) in Zone 3 is one such initiative aimed at motivating these children and integrating them into the mainstream; it is yielding positive results." So far, 72 such children have been identified and are receiving the necessary support. In addition to the rehabilitation efforts, the Pune police have also been strictly enforcing regulations regarding Dahi Handi and Ganeshotsav celebrations.

While there was a total ban on plasma and pressure sound systems, permission was granted for limited use of speakers. Out of 116 Ganesh Mandals, 116 cases have been registered for violating these rules. Kumar highlighted the compliance shown by the majority of citizens during the Dahi Handi festivities and expressed confidence that strict action will be taken against future violators to reduce DJ and noise pollution violations during future festivals.
