PalmPay steps up security drive amid fraud concerns

PalmPay is intensifying its security efforts to enhance customer trust in digital banking through a new 'PalmPay Dey For You' campaign, addressing fraud concerns and empowering users. The campaign, launched amid growing worries about the safety of digital financial services, aims to educate users on available security tools while reinforcing PalmPay's commitment to protecting customer funds.

Managing Director Chika Nwosu emphasized that trust is crucial in the relationship between financial institutions and their customers, highlighting the need for confidence in the institution's regulation, security, dependability, and availability. The campaign includes a Security Centre with tools like Location Guard, NightGuard, and other in-app features allowing users to review and enhance account protection.

In case of loss of access to phones or cards, users can lock their accounts via 86112# or lock cards through 8617*5#. PalmPay's approach integrates security features designed into the customer experience rather than responding to incidents, emphasizing security by design. The campaign will continue focusing on helping users understand both the safeguards operating behind the scenes and the measures they can activate themselves.
