Orihuela Costa Coworking Hub Attracts Growing Number of Digital Nomads

The Orihuela Chamber of Commerce's Digital Coworking Centre is gaining prominence as a popular destination for digital nomads, entrepreneurs and professionals in Orihuela Costa. Visitor numbers surged by 22.9% in the summer compared to the same period in 2025, with occupancy rising by 19% in July and a substantial 36.4% in August.

The centre provides workspaces, meeting rooms, training facilities and business development resources. It caters to permanent residents, visiting professionals and holidaymakers seeking professional work environments not available in their temporary accommodations. In 2026, the working areas attracted 80 users, including 18 who utilized the space for medium or long-term stays exceeding 20 hours.

Since opening, the facility has been utilized by a total of 379 individuals, receiving an impressive average satisfaction rating of 4.9 out of five.

Beyond being a workspace, the building serves as a venue for local associations, community groups and residents' committees. Chamber President Mario Martínez highlighted the figures as evidence of the necessity for a professional facility in one of the municipality's key economic zones. The centre also handled 43 requests for Chamber of Commerce services from entrepreneurs, microbusinesses, small and medium-sized enterprises and startups, with ten projects featuring significant technological or innovative components.

The facility has hosted various training programs, including courses for young individuals and those over 45 through the Young Talent and Talent +45 schemes. More than 30 students participated in the España Emprende program and a business management and entrepreneurship course incorporating artificial intelligence, both of which were funded by the Valencian regional government.

Martínez expressed the Chamber's commitment to further enhancing the centre, incorporating user feedback and expanding support for professionals and businesses.

Martínez emphasized Orihuela Costa's potential to attract skilled workers, foster new opportunities and contribute to the economic growth of the broader municipality.
