SMU's Jennings found Jalen Cooper for a 50-yard touchdown and Randy Pittman for a 10-yard score, with the team amassing 585 total offensive yards. Florida State's Ousmane Kromah contributed 22 carries for 116 yards, including a 54-yard run and a 7-yard touchdown, in the team's return to form. Ashton Daniels accounted for 125 passing yards and a touchdown for Florida State, while Ashlynd Barker and Nehemiah Chandler recorded crucial second-half interceptions.
