Meta lanza un asistente personal con IA para tareas cotidianas

Facebook and Instagram parent company Meta unveiled an artificial intelligence (AI) powered personal assistant named Muse on Tuesday. Designed for individuals 18 years and older seeking help with daily tasks such as scheduling, shopping, and turning long-term goals into actionable plans, Muse is currently only available in the United States. The company emphasized the security and privacy features of Muse, which operates within a secure virtual machine housing both the agent and user data.

Users can interact with Muse through a separate application called Muse or via WhatsApp and Instagram. The AI assistant can handle simple tasks like sending emails or booking travel, as well as more ambitious, long-term objectives like creating a yearly exercise plan or launching a new business. Once a user shares a goal with Muse, it helps develop a personalized plan, coordinates time and resources, and then continues working independently.

Muse can open a browser, fill out forms, and negotiate on the user's behalf, according to Meta's blog post.

The launch of Muse comes at a time when Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg faces pressure from investors due to the company's costly efforts to become a leader in AI. The social media giant has announced it will invest up to $145 billion this year in capital expenditures, primarily in AI infrastructure.
