Mahama is doing well – UT Bank founder Prince Kofi Amoabeng pledges support

Captain Prince Kofi Amoabeng, the founder of the defunct UT Bank, has expressed his confidence in President John Dramani Mahama's performance and pledged his support for the government's development agenda. The retired military captain and entrepreneur met with President Mahama at his private residence on September 8th to discuss matters of national importance.

Following the meeting, Amoabeng shared his thoughts on Facebook, stating that he believes the President is doing well and is willing to support his efforts to improve Ghana.

Amoabeng emphasized the significance of leadership and mindset in achieving national development, stating that "a better Ghana begins with the right mindset, responsible leadership, and a shared commitment to progress." He highlighted these qualities as essential for Ghana's advancement and stressed the importance of fostering an environment that encourages local businesses, efficiency, and innovation.

The support from Amoabeng, who previously described President Mahama as "down-to-earth, humane, and extremely humble," adds to the growing list of high-profile figures praising the President. In December 2025, Amoabeng had also lauded Mahama's consistent demeanor, noting that his qualities have remained unchanged since their relationship began during Mahama's tenure as Vice President.
