Long Chau enhances healthcare on Con Dao Island

On August 28, Long Chau collaborated with government officials to launch the "Journey of Gratitude – For a Healthy Vietnam" programme, honouring those who have contributed to the nation. The event coincided with the anniversaries of the August Revolution and National Day, promoting the value of "when drinking water, remember its source."

The initiative aimed to support policy families, revolution contributors, and residents of coastal and island areas, aligning with the Politburo's Resolution No.72-NQ/TW on enhancing healthcare protection and improvement. Dao Xuan Bo, editor-in-chief of People’s Army Newspaper, expressed gratitude to young and veteran individuals who sacrificed for the country, emphasizing the programme's role in supporting the wellbeing of families and revolution contributors.

Le Dinh Son, Vice Chairman of Con Dao People’s Committee, highlighted the humanitarian significance of the programme in providing practical support for social welfare and community healthcare. Long Chau's CEO, Hoang Trung Kien, noted the company's commitment to improving healthcare access nationwide, leveraging its extensive pharmacy and vaccination centre network.

A key highlight of the programme was a consultation seminar on proactive stroke prevention, with experts educating residents on stroke warning signs, first-aid skills, and managing underlying health conditions. Free health screenings and stroke-risk consultations were also provided, enabling early health monitoring and disease prevention.

The delegation paid tribute to martyrs at Hang Duong Cemetery, visiting and gifting families of martyrs, wounded soldiers, former political prisoners, and veterans, fostering dialogue and remembrance. FPT Long Chau Pharma was recognized as the sole Vietnamese recipient of the Health & Wellness Initiative of the Year award at the 2026 Healthcare Asia Pharma Awards, underscoring the company's contributions to healthcare advancements.
