LaLiga: If you haven’t won title for two years, it’s your problem – Yamal to Real Madrid

Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal has stated that the controversial refereeing decisions in Real Madrid's 1-0 La Liga loss to Real Betis are issues that the team needs to address internally. Following a successful start to their season with three wins, Real Madrid suffered a setback at the Estadio de La Cartuja, where Troy Parrott scored the lone goal for Betis just nine minutes before the final bell.

Despite a late penalty appeal by Kylian Mbappe, which was thwarted by Betis goalkeeper Alvaro Valles, Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho blamed a defender for intruding into the box too early, claiming the penalty should have been retaken. Mourinho also criticized the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) officials for their perceived lack of involvement.

Yamal, speaking at a press conference before Barcelona's Champions League match on Wednesday, expressed his satisfaction with the refereeing and other aspects of the game, noting that such matters should be taken up by Real Madrid themselves. He emphasized, "If Real Madrid have not won La Liga for two years, that is their problem."

Yamal has been instrumental in Barcelona's performance, netting four goals in four La Liga matches, including a brace in their emphatic 5-0 victory over Valencia.
