Keenan Allen reveals jersey number with Colts for 2026 season

Indianapolis – The Indianapolis Colts announced that rookie wide receiver Keenan Allen will be donning No. 10 for the upcoming season, marking his first time wearing a number other than his traditional No. 13 jersey. Veteran wide receiver Laquon Treadwell chose to retain No. 13, deciding against passing it down to Allen. Treadwell explained that he and Allen discussed the matter three times before finalizing the decision.

Treadwell acknowledged Allen's decorated NFL career, noting his 1,055 career receptions and 12,051 yards. However, Treadwell and his family prayed about the decision, which led them to keep the coveted number. Allen initially started the season wearing No. 10 and later tried No. 11 in practice, but ultimately found comfort in the No. 10 assignment.

The 34-year-old receiver, who is accustomed to wearing No. 13, admitted that seeing Treadwell in the number and hearing teammates refer to him as "13" was unusual. Allen needed to make his choice by Monday's team photo shoot, and ultimately felt that No. 10 was the correct decision. Colts reporters Joel A.
