Jerry Jones: Creating cap space gives us room to make a trade

Jones did not rule out using this newfound cap space for this season's team, as he found it "pretty conspicuously obvious" that they have substantial financial flexibility to make a trade if they desired. While Jones did not indicate a specific trade is imminent, he did suggest the Cowboys are "in play" to make a move and that it would likely be an addition to bolster the defensive side of the team.
