Jellyfin has released version 12.0, a significant update that enhances performance and adds new features. Jellyfin now supports case-insensitive usernames, meaning two accounts with differing capitalizations will be treated as the same user.

Jellyfin 12.0 marks the end of the naming scheme using "10" before the major version, with "12.0" representing what would have been 10.12.0.
