Hyundai Rotem targets aerospace specialists in major hiring push

Hyundai Rotem, a defense and rail manufacturer, has announced a major hiring push targeting aerospace specialists. This is the first time the company has run a recruitment drive exclusively for its aerospace business. Applications opened on August 24 and will remain open until September 20, after which aptitude tests and interviews will take place before final selections are made.

The openings span a variety of aerospace roles, including work on propulsion technologies such as ducted ramjet engines, hypersonic engines, and methane engines. These engines are used in guided missile systems and test facilities for propulsion systems. The company plans to complement this hiring drive with outreach efforts to prospective candidates, including recruitment briefings at research labs at major universities and graduate schools.

These roles align with Hyundai Rotem's existing programs with state-run defense research bodies, where they are advancing ducted ramjet and hypersonic engine technology for guided weapons under projects with the Agency for Defense Development.
