‘Had to fix seepage’: Accused to cops on repair work at Delhi hostel that gave way

The accused members of the Gupta family - Hariram Gupta, Urmila Gupta, and Mahesh Gupta - have been arrested in connection with the collapse of a five-storey building in South West Delhi's Satya Niketan, which resulted in at least seven deaths. The alleged cause of the collapse is the repair work carried out to address waterlogging and seepage issues in the basement, according to the accused. The repair work allegedly weakened the structure and caused it to collapse.
