Green Eagle Solutions lands Copilot Capital backing to take renewable energy ‘autopilot’ global

Green Eagle Solutions, a Spanish technology firm specializing in renewable energy operation automation, has secured a majority investment from Copilot Capital. Established in 2012 by software engineers Alejandro Cabrera and Juan Fernández, the company's flagship product, the ARSOS Automation Suite, launched in 2020. This platform consolidates operational data, automates critical tasks like fault handling and curtailments, and offers clients real-time visibility into their renewable energy assets while the software handles responses, eliminating the need for manual intervention from operators, asset managers, and energy traders.

The renewable energy sector is facing growing complexity, with expanding portfolios across wind, solar, hydro, and battery technologies, volatile energy prices, and rapidly evolving regulations. Currently, ARSOS manages 90 GW of wind, solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and hydro assets, overseeing over 10,000 wind turbines operated autonomously and executing more than 1 million automated actions monthly across various markets in Iberia, Europe, North America, LATAM, Australia, and other EMEA regions.

Lured by Green Eagle's established presence in the market and the potential for rapid growth, Copilot Capital, founded by John Messer, saw the opportunity as more than just a capital raise. The investment aims to propel Green Eagle's international expansion, with a focus on the US market, as well as establish operational foundations and a global go-to-market strategy. The partnership with Copilot Capital aligns with Green Eagle's mission to become a European software champion and worldwide category leader.
