Gravity Supply Chain and Coneksion Partner to Expand Multi-Carrier Ocean Booking Connectivity
Gravity Supply Chain Solutions, an order orchestration platform used by brand owners, retailers and manufacturers, and by the freight forwarders and 4PLs who serve them to control inbound supply chains from purchase order through to final delivery, and Coneksion®, a leading provider of data connectivity solutions for logistics and global supply chains, today announced a ...
Gravity Supply Chain Solutions and Coneksion have teamed up to enhance ocean booking connectivity for their clients. Gravity's platform, utilized by brands, retailers, manufacturers, and freight forwarders, will now allow customers to book shipments directly from the platform, eliminating the need for separate carrier connections.
This integration with Coneksion's RAPIDS Common Carrier Layer (CCL) aims to streamline the process, reducing manual errors and saving time. Initially, the partnership will support booking and confirmation of ocean freight, with plans to expand to include shipping instructions, VGM submissions, tracking, and other freight data. Nick Daly, COO of Gravity Supply Chain Solutions, notes that the gap in the current process often lies in the handover of upstream data into carrier portals, an issue that Coneksion aims to address with a single integration.
Jaakko Elovaara, CEO of Coneksion, adds that the collaboration will enable Gravity's customers to add new ocean carriers more quickly, without the need for separate integration projects. Currently, the connection covers major carriers such as MSC, Maersk, CMA CGM, COSCO, OOCL, Hapag-Lloyd, ONE, Evergreen, HMM, Yang Ming, ZIM, and PIL.
The partnership aims to simplify and improve the reliability of ocean freight booking for Gravity's customers, replacing time-consuming, manual processes with a standardized system for booking and confirming ocean freight.
