French pupils fall to record low in global education survey
French students' results in the 2025 international Pisa survey are the lowest ever recorded, yet remain in line with the OECD average, according to results published on Tuesday. French Education Minister Édouard Geffray criticised social media as one of the causes, and pledged to focus on raising standards in middle schools over the next five-year term in order to close the gap.
