Former Real Madrid midfielder gives Feyenoord just 1% chance against Barcelona

Feyenoord midfielder Rafael van der Vaart has given the Dutch side just a 1% chance of defeating Barcelona in their Champions League opener at the Camp Nou. The former Real Madrid and Netherlands player urged Feyenoord to resist the temptation to abandon their attacking identity and use the Camp Nou occasion to showcase their personality. Van der Vaart suggested that players like Anis Hadj Moussa should be given the freedom to exploit their natural qualities. However, not everyone agreed with Van der Vaart's philosophy.

Former Netherlands international Theo Janssen offered a more pragmatic assessment, predicting that Barcelona's pressure would force Feyenoord deeper into their own half, making it nearly impossible to maintain possession. Janssen advised Van Bronckhorst to field three lightning-fast players up front and play long balls to exploit space created by Barcelona's forward runs.
